Temple of Heaven
I’m sorry, I’ve been quite busy these last few days and I also got sick, but now I have to tell you about all the places I visited. First, I went to the Temple of Heaven, a place of great importance in local culture and religion. It was a wonderful experience. I went with a group of eight international students from my campus. We had a great time. There are huge gardens outside where we can walk around and buy beautiful things. A friend of mine bought a hairpin, and it’s very pretty.

Museum of the Communist Party
Then I went on an excursion organized by the university. We went to visit the Communist Party museum, but there were four floors and we finished the visit in an hour and a half. Many of us were very disappointed that we didn’t have enough time to visit and enjoy all the paintings. Their details, the objects left over from another era, vestiges of a very difficult time, but a key moment in Chinese history. I was very moved when we watched a film about the Long March.

A friend of mine took some photos of me when I had taken a book. I love seeing what is written inside, because Chinese books are not the same as books written in Roman characters. In fact, they have an internal structure based on the traditional method of writing, that is, from top to bottom instead of left to right.

National Library
Finally, I went with my friends to the national library. We had planned to get cards so we could study and use books from the library, but at that moment we didn’t have our passports. The authorities had taken them to review them and give us our residence permits, so we decided to just visit, and we didn’t know it, but there was a whole museum about the history of Chinese calligraphy and literary culture. They told me it was okay to share the photos we took, so you can see the photos with my friends, visiting the museum at the national library.

See you tomorrow <3
